Re: The "Complain About ESPN" Thread

At least PA is good for the occasional hilarious call from a Vikings game. "Why do you even ponder passing? ..."

Huh?!

I couldn't make it through my commute without XM.

In the Twin Cities, the KQ Morning Crew (classic rock station) are the one and only morning radio, if you look at ratings. I listen to them, unless there's a song or ads, then it's the hard rock station 93X. Between those two, I enjoy my morning commute (that is about 10 minutes). Other times? It's a cd.

Re: The "Complain About ESPN" Thread

I really don't want to get a ration of crap, but ESPN put a lockout pickup game ahead of college football. They really do stink. There were plenty of excellent stories like the Nebraska's comeback, Bama-LSU wins and some upsets, but let's show the NBA first.

Somehow, ESPN.com managed to get flooded with "[X] > Tebow" messages that they kept deleting on one of their comment threads today.

It would seem that the world at large has found a way to go beyond just complaining about ESPN and get into the realm of doing petty, pointless and completely hilarious things just to annoy them.

I support.
A few of my favorites:

Stephen Hawking's 40 yard dash time > Tebow

Shawn Kemp's ability to pay child support >Tebow

Al Bundy's 4 TD game > Tebow

Casey Anthony > Tebow (not even the worst one)

I can top those.

Pol Pot > Tebow

Charles Manson > Tebow

Bob Knight's anger management class > Tebow

The Golden Gopher football team > Tebow

The Luftwaffe > Tebow

Dan Weldon's Helmet > Tebow

I also like how Golden Gopher Football is right up there with Pol Pot, Charles Manson and the Kardashian Divorce...

Re: The "Complain About ESPN" Thread

Last night, which was supposed to be opening night for the NBA...ESPN decided to show highlights from last year's opening night. Not just 30 seconds worth...but quarter by quarter highlights. I said this way back over the summer that ESPN would find a way to show the NBA...even if it was old games.

Re: The "Complain About ESPN" Thread

Holy *ing sh*. The internet has won. That's TWO good things the internet has done recently (the beating thing in the Nice Planet is the other one).

Strangley hypnotic. I'm not going to get any work done and it's all your fault, Twitch.

As for NMU, what did you expect them to do? Show hockey? They can't do that now. It's against ESPN's prime directive.
