The Barr Has Been Raised at UMaine

I thought they were better in the 3rd than Connecticut, for the most part. Disappointing Saturdays after good Fridays has been a bit of an early trend, hopefully they can buck it tomorrow night and play another good game. That's what I'll primarily be watching for.

I hope Maine can stay with them tonight, score first and maybe they will. UConn has better size and skill so .................. I thought Maine played hard last night, can't really complain. Wish they had a PP but the Offensive skill is still lacking as a whole. Will Ostman start? I'd guess yes

1-0 Maine early. Let's see if they can hold the lead tonight.

I'm guessing that's the radio call bleeding into the video broadcast. Going to give me a headache.

0-5 on PP's so far. Tough to watch this team with the man advantage. Not sure there is enough skill to really put pressure on with the 1-3-1 they want to run.

heck of a shot by UConn, 2-1. Maines PP for the season must be closer to 0% then it is .1%. Its awful

Pretty sure Bradley put that shot off Ostman's mask. Great shot from a tough angle.

Including the oh-fer so far today, Maine is 3 for 33 on the PP this season. I know we don't have a ton of skill, but seeing them generate so few high-quality chances 5x4 is frustrating.

That might have been the most disappointing period of the season(along with the second period at Bentley.) Hopefully they can turn it around in the third.

Breen ties it and then immediately Maine gives the lead back.

UConn has targeted Ostman's glove side in both games and it's paid off for them.

Had to go to work after the first period, will watch the rest tonight. Sounds like a tough one. Can't fault a young team for losing close games if the effort is there. A pair of one-goal losses on the road against a top 10 team, best in the conference, is respectable. Have to keep building on the successes against Quinnipiac and Northeastern. Would have loved to take this to overtime but they're just not at that level yet.

Tough loss but no reason to hang their heads. Great effort all weekend.

They were the better team today, especially in the third. They might be offensively challenged but I think it’s going to work itself out. They need to start hitting that 3 goal threshold and the wins will come. There’s not a 15 goal scorer on this team but I think there might be a dozen 5-10 goal scorers.

Nice to see Trudeau find the net, he looks to be settling in.
