"That's not very North Dakota right there" when referring to UND's slow start to the season.
Seems to me like they always start sort of slow, then get hot and roll the second half of the season, which is sort of crushing when DU hits the usual February slump.

Technically, he could've been right, since 0.6 is not 0. A delay of game call would've given North Dakota an offensive zone face off. Granted there still wouldn't have been enough to do anything, and I don't think anyone objects to how Minnesota eventually did get off the ice for the face off or how the refs let it slide, but still worth noting.

Before the start of today's action I hope Barry will tell us: A) How he thinks the University of Union will do in today's game and B) Whether or not the team scoring the game's first goal will take the lead.

C) that Union got to the finals by beating Boston (without specifying College, University, Bruins, or Red Sox) and D) that the team that's ahead at the end of the game will likely win.

After these weekends games... Barry is an analyst at best. Not seeing last year, for him, this seemed like a good effort on his part... other than trying to characterize what "INSERT TEAM hockey" is over and over again.
He shouldn't be the color man, but as long as ESPN retains him for the big bucks that is what you are going to see. I always wondered why whatshisname (Saunders?) the WMU grad doesn't do this, but maybe that's an entire career ago for him.

Selfishly, I hope not on Jaffe. I watch the FF live so I'm not subjected to Barry. Jaffee does studio commentary on NESN (Bruins) and NHL Network, you know outlets that actually care about hockey.
