JHMFC... Will someone throw this guy in a hole?

Next we'll see him propose drone strikes on doughnuts. He has no idea what the Constitution is or what it means.

Or just do what they did to Cocteau in Demolition Man.

Who needs Arec Bawdwin? :D

The U.S. military announced Thursday that two B-2 stealth bombers were sent to South Korea to participate in a training exercise, demonstrating the Pentagon's commitment to defend its ally against threats from North Korea.

The two B-2 Spirit bombers flew more than 6,500 miles from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri to South Korea, dropping inert munitions before returning to the U.S., according to a statement released by U.S. Forces Korea.

How long does it take to fly from Missouri to Korea? By that time, the NK's could have rolled Seoul.

Need a couple of Carriers off the coast to fly ground strike while we're waiting for the BUFF's and B-2's. Plus the SK's and USA will have to bleed men in the meantime.

Looks good on paper. But then again so did Plan Orange.

I would agree with you that NK could roll Seoul before the B2's got there from the US, but I am sure the US military in the region would have little trouble freight training NK as long as China behaves.

Just hope it doesn't take long for them to build interceptors! :D

You know this is a good example of what the US role in the world should be. Why exactly are we still defending South Korea from the North? From China, sure, its a lot bigger country. But with all of the riches and manpower that South Korea possesses, can't they defend their own border? Yes, if China launched a full scale ground invasion we'd have to get involved, but the chances of that are nil. The Korean War ended 60 years ago at the cost of 50K+ US lives. Might be time to hand over defense of that country to the Koreans...

I you are on to something. I think all us personnel should be out of Korea. Things have changed in the past 50 years. With our help (technologically) the South Korean military should easily be able to defend themselves. If they do not have the man power to repel NK then that is on them. They need to build their forces. We should equip SK but not be their own personal ARMY.

It'll all change once Obama surrenders to the New World Order.

If the NKs want to blow the crap out of Seoul, there's not a **** thing anybody can do about it. Seoul is only 30 miles from the DMZ by land and even closer than that by water.

But the South has cruise missles that can hit within 10 ft of a target in downtown Pyongyang when launched from a plane at the southern tip of the peninsula, over 300 miles from Seoul (I was in Ulsan when the purchase was made publc). So any action by the North to attack Seoul would be the end of their capitol, too.

FWIW.

My thought a while ago was have the PRC initiate a coup d'etat of the NK government and put somebody more stable in charge.

Not directly related, but interesting nonetheless: China is capable of hitting our carriers with ground-based measures. A fairly recent development and one may apply to theoreticals as they wish, but there are measures out there that we don't have a counter for. At least not yet.
