That's kinda the point. Think about this from a political strategy prospective. Say you're an old school conservative who predates neo-con theory. In the last 10 years you've watched one needless war being launched that damaged US prestige, and another necessary war get put on the back burner. You heard getting OBL wasn't that important, only to find out when he got bagged that he was still running AQ. Your party has actively signed on to 1.5T in defense cuts to protect all tax breaks no matter how absurd they might be.

In this scenario, nothing is going to turn you into a flaming liberal. However, your vote, formerly entrenched in one camp, is now officially up for grabs. That's a good thing of course, but its interesting how one faction in the GOP (economic libertarians) has completely kicked out another faction (defense hawks).

There's also a possibility, and is something that is even discussed in the alternative talk radio circuit, that those people won't even show up to the polls at all. The same thing, however, did happen with the left in 2004. If you take a look at Bush/Kerry and Obama/Romney debates, you'll see that there really isn't much of a difference between the two winners or between the two losers, only what letter gets put after their name.

In fact, here's an experiment I would love to see be tried: From "Decision 2014" through the end of the 2015-2017 term, don't even put a party brand next to the person's name, in fact don't even address parties at all. Listen to what the person has to say, and see what happens.

Yankees/Red Sox, BC/BU, Ohio State/Michigan, all can eat their hearts out, because we have, in the political realm, the biggest rivalry in the history of history.

This is a great example of what Bill O'Reilly just got on Michelle Bachmann's case about, which is small ball trivial issues that the right continues to try to turn into the next Watergate. This Obama comment. Really, who gives an F? What's the point of even bringing it up? It makes an ideology already wallowing in record disapproval rates seem even more juvenile and unfit to lead.

Oh I see --- but for those of you on the other side this clown who can do no wrong is the greatest leader since Lincoln...or perhaps his biblical namesake?

Have you considered the effectiveness of this stupidity? You come off as teenage girls holding a grudge. I mean, really, this is the best you've got? Conservatives aren't held in very high regard right now and dumb@ ss stuff like this is most likely a big reason for it.

His point is that you were able to trash Dubya on the mainstream media all you wanted from 2001 through 2008, but the second someone does exactly the same thing with the messiah dictator, they need to be gagged?

We were trashing W for squandering the surplus and launching the most foolhardy war in the nation's history. I don't think too many people were concerned about his hygiene or attire or any other such nonsense.

No need to muzzle you guys though. The best case for keeping conservatives out of power is to listen to them for 5 minutes. :D
