He declined it? I was hoping we'd go a few quadrillion in debt sooner rather than later.

I read somewhere the official White House response which was quite comical. It said among other points something like, "President Obama does not believe we should go 100's of quadrillions into debt to build a death star that could easily be destroyed by a single-pilot spacecraft"

My qualification was dozens of people at a time (read: 2-3 minutes). And yes, if hammers began to be used to kill dozens of people at a time, then good riddance.

And I'll ask you as well...should I be allowed to have a nuclear weapon?

"dozens" means at least 24 right? What about a weapon that takes one second over 3 minutes to get to victim #24? You're OK with that?

You hit a guy with a hammer, 100 points. If it slips out of the hand and bounces to the next person and hits them, 200, then so on to 400, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, and eventually you start getting 1UPs. :D

dozens just means a lot as I was intending to use it...not necessarily 24+.

Back on the last page, I already said I'm fine with it. I trust you. You're only going rabbit hunting with it right?
But once we're passing laws that are to apply equally to everyone regardless of criminal records or mental state, we need to be clear in the law: how many is "a lot"? Are you OK with weapons that kill 4 people in 4 minutes? What if there's one guy that's faster at using that weapon?

Ahh, I was getting my conversations mixed up.

As for your question, If people are using something that allows them to kill 24+ people in 3:01...then I'm okay with the government restricting that thing.

Cars, then. And cranes. And fire! Fires also kill a lot of people. We need to get back to no fires allowed inside the caves. Also motorized boats, and possibly bison.

Again, if people were using cars to kill dozens at a time, or cranes...then yes, regulate them.

You're confusing things killing people and people using things to kill people for the purpose of killing.
