I feel neither almighty or proud...and while I did test as a genius years ago I do not in any way consider myself a political one. I do think I am smarter than most of the people in politics right now...but that is a low bar

Just because I speak authoritatively doesn't mean I don't acknowledge that I am often wrong and admit it when it is pointed out. I get nothing from being right or wrong or if people agree with my takes or not. Hell most of the time I would rather be wrong because cynicism should never be rewarded.

I am sure there are people around here that get off on being right all the time or everyone loving them, but that is not me man. I get my kicks from the discussion, even if I feel the other takes are ludicrous. If all I wanted was everyone to agree with me I would have more people on my blocklist than just the 5 Trumpers and a few people that no longer post here.

Going back to the discussion a page or two ago, I think the only place we could do a decedent-based application is Lithuania. Thought maybe Australia, but no that requires a parent not a grandparent.

Any chance this is Lithuanian Jewish because if so maybe you'd have a shot at Israel right of return? Now, yes, that hardly solves the authoritarian problem, but I believe the Israeli opposition will have something more harsh to say about a fascist party controlling them than American liberals. I mean, I'm not a deep comic nerd, but maybe there's was a couple panels in Action Comics #1 I missed where Jor-El goes to an Immigration and Naturalization Service office to petition for a visa for Kal-El? You know, to "immigrate the right way."

Pretty similar. The times I’ve been most of the people we didn’t already know that were super inviting and willing to converse were either non-secular Jews or Arab Israelis. Plus, they kept the place running on Saturday.
