The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

Here's what I know right now for RIT, but with only one date.

UConn at RIT at Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY October 15, 2016.

Non-conference games: at Union, at RPI, at Bowling Green; home for two with Providence.

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

Friendship Four Tourney in Belfast Nov 25-26 will include SLU, Quinnipiac, UMass and Vermont. I have heard that QU will lose their ECAC home game against SLU for the tourney.

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

LSSU Non-conference opponents:
Michigan State (in October)
@Nebraska Omaha
@ Notre Dame (Shillelagh Tournament Thanksgiving weekend)

There might be a non-conference home/home series with Michigan Tech. It is unknown at this time if it will happen.

I would assume the Union/RPI series is getting paired up with Niagara? Or are we going to finally get to play Canisius for the first time ever?

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

Very helpful; thanks. I assume the Mariucci Classic participants are yet to be known?

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

I seem to recall RPI/BC being a two-game series, so RPI should probably be travelling to BC. I also heard a rumour that RPI and North Dakota would be participating in the Hall of Fame game, but I don't remember if that's this upcoming year, or the following year.

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

Ohio state has non conference home and home with BG and Miami. Plus playing in the ice breaker

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

I have heard BSU has Princeton and Arizona State, both in Bemidji, next year. They will also have the North Star Cup with SCSU in the first round.

Plus the Gophers in the Twin Cities that was already mentioned.

That would put BSU at 36 games, which would make sense with an Alaska trip.

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

To go along with the Minnesota @ the North Country, Wisconsin is joining for the opposite nights based on a reliable source.

Did they mistaken the North Country for Hockey East or something?!

I'll get this stuff in there once I'm able to access the sheet.

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

Very limited information on Union and RPI non league so far.

Union looks to only have 3 non league home games. Weekend of Oct 21 & 22 being RIT and UMass and New Years Eve against North Dakota. Neutral site against RPI and away games of Michigan x2, Vermont and BU. Still 4 games to account for.

RPI - Will host RIT, 2@ Arizona State, 1@ North Dakota, 1@ BC and a neutral site game against Union. 7 games to be accounted for.

Re: The 2016-17 Schedules Thread

I have heard that RPI will be hosting Ohio State for 2 games. You can check with the OSU fans to confirm this.

Thanks much. :) That RPI at North Dakota is most likely the aforementioned Hall of Fame game, which is exempt according to the NCAA rules (just in case someone says 6 instead of your 7). If UMass is playing the same weekend as RIT, it would not surprise me a bit if RPI played UMass on the opposite night, but we don't know for sure. As for Union playing Vermont, is that just a straight game, or is it going to be part of the Catamount Cup?
