The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Leaves them two games short. :(

It does, however, complete Boston College's NC schedule. I'd venture a guess UMA and UML will have a non-conference game between each other.

Considering it was announced as an annual game when the Hockey East schedule was reduced to 22/24 games, yeah, they will.

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Now that we have a number of Hockey East teams in with schedules, we can make some inferences about the rest. Keep in mind that anything in this post is speculation, and I'm not putting it on the sheet until I get some confirmation:

UMA/UML season series will probably be 19-20 February; I'd guess home/home.
UCONN/Providence probably on 12-13 February; I'd also guess home/home. Thanksgiving weekend's also available, as is the first week of November as other possibilities for this.
BC and Providence will probably each play one of the UMASSes on the final weekend; home/home?
UCONN will probably have a bye week on 29-30 January.
22-23 January's a little tricky; I'm going to take a wild guess that it will be BC/Providence home/home with the UMA/UML NC game that Friday. NC game could also be the week before, and BC/Prov could be January 8-9, meaning BC could play the other UMASS on 22-23 January; latter might be more likely.
UCONN/UML I'd guess to be 4-5 December.
BC could also split up the UMASSes, I suppose.

No idea if any of this is true; probably isn't, but based upon the available weekends, that's all we have to go on.

You left out Harvard's home game against Quinnipiac and an away game at Yale.

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

You left out Harvard's home game against Quinnipiac and an away game at Yale.

The reason I did that is because Harvard typically moves a Saturday game that occurs before a Monday where the Beanpot is played. Last year, we did see an exception where they played Yale AND Brown before the Beanpot game on the second weekend. However, unless we see it starting to occur with a little more regularity, I will continue to move those games to the bottom of the list until one of the involved schools is able to confirm whether the game has indeed moved.

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

It's a fairly safe bet the last weekend of regular season play in Hockey East will feature UMASS Amherst vs. Providence; I don't know where.

UCONN/Boston College is probably going to be a split series; there are no weekends in common.

I would guess Boston College/Providence 8/9 January.

Wild guess: UCONN/UMASS 6/7 November? Would leave UCONN/Providence for 12/13 February.

Only thing left to predict is BC/UMASS, split series I'm thinking as well.

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Not sure if I put this one in yet, but it looks like Yale has released: http://www.nhregister.com/sports/20150721/yale-mens-hockey-facing-formidable-2015-16-schedule

Re: The 2015-16 Schedules Thread

Now the question with the swap is: Does Harvard/Brown get rescheduled because of the Beanpot? This was the matchup that did not get rescheduled last year...

Add a game in Michigan against the US U18 team on 11/14. I can never remember - is this an exempt game from the 34?

A game against a team sanctioned by USA Hockey is exempt, and is also a separate exemption from the international exemption (typically used for a Canadian college, sometimes for the Russian Red Stars). Therefore, you could play a Canadian college AND one of the USA U-18, USA U-17 (usually only in D-III), or USA WJC U-20 team in the same year.
