Pats blowing this game
1:13 to go. Pats +10
Still think the Jets score here before game ends.
I hope that nothing is at stake for the Pats in the 12/27 game at the Meadowlands. Jets are a good team. Nice to see a game in which the focus was on football and not personalities.
Yeah, except I don't have as much faith in the Jets' ineptitude as I used to. This team was not assembled by a salary cap hoarder and coached by a blowhard who turns QBs with potential into buttfumblers.Jets are decent, but you KNEW the Pats would win. Watched the game, waiting for the Pats to be the Pats, and the Jets to be the Mess. Took quite a while, but it finally happened.

Jets benefited a lot from Pats dropped passes which I don't expect to keep happening. Yes, the teams traded end zone drops but beyond that they would have moved the ball a lot better if particuarly LaFell wasn't so rusty.
My bigger concern is not getting off the field on 3rd and long. Butler had a horrific game. I realize this isn't a big problem in the AFC as most opposing QB's are either untested or horrible, and the ones that aren't play for teams that won't make the playoffs. I wouldn't want these guys facing Aaron Rodgers however.
Ooops. Sorry.Stillers came away with MISSED fg you mean![]()
Yeah, the secondary isn't like last year but whos secondary is? The Jets had the #2 ranked D and Brady still abused them. The Pats had them 3rd and long many times and just missed on some and got completely abused on others. I'll worry about super bowl when that time comes. I still don't think the D is as bad as several years ago. I also don't think Butler is as bad as you guys make him out to be. He is essentially a rookie so....I get Belichick's philosophy and I don't. In terms of the AFC, going into this season, the good QB's are Luck, Roethlisberger and maybe Rivers. Indy and Pittsburgh don't have the D to keep up with the Pats, so he could afford to save $$$ in the secondary.
In a potential SB though, we're screwed. This secondary would have given up 40 points to Seattle in the championship. Yeah maybe some fluky team makes it all the way like Carolina or Arizona but I'm not counting on that.
Can't believe Denver beat Green Bay, Denver D held Rogers to about 50 yds passing, wow. Looks like Denver is the team to beat in AFC now. Cincy held it together also but Pittsburgh Offense is awful, Green Bay isn't
Denver's D did make Rodgers look a lot worse than I expected. I'm still expecting Manning to break down when it gets colder out however. Beyond that though, I think home field advantage will determine who goes to the SB. Not sure who Denver has left on their schedule although they must have Oakland again who's actually decent this year.
