Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

Packers look like the the team to beat in February, Rogers can do whatever he wants and his receivers are killing Pats secondary. Meanwhile the Pats O has done nothing

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

Good job by the offense to come back only to let rogers have enough time to score a TD

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

Got to win in San Diego now, D line couldn't get to Rogers when it mattered.

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

different story on neutral field...would be a great super bowl that's for sure

rodgers is unreal but the TD pats gave up at end of first half can't happen. way too easy. 81 yards in less than a minute when you just cut it to 2...killer.

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

Would much rather have won, but I can live with this loss. Need to regroup now and win out. One thing that could derail a rematch would be having to go to Denver.

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

Looks like Peyton is going to crush the Crappy chiefs. Big surprise Talib is hurt

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

There's no such thing as a good loss, but as has been mentioned already I can live with this one. GB, a good team with a very good QB, defended their home turf vs the Pats with a win in a close game. No shame there. Rodgers was lights out especially in terms of the Pats taking away his #1 and #2 options but him hitting 3, 4, and 5. If he played like that every game all year the Packers would be undefeated. I don't think he threw a bad pass all game. On a neutral site, and having played them previously, I'd expect a different outcome. With the exception of Denver, I can't think of a harder place to win than Lambeau.

Kansas City? The Pats were a different team then, and it didn't torpedo Peyton. Seattle? Can't happen. As long as they win out, Pats are in good shape, location-wise.

The one thing I have a problem with (and I haven't seen it, DVRed the game and haven't seen it yet) is the score at the end of the first half. As someone, I think it was Gasper in the Globe, the hockey equivalent of scoring with two minutes left in the period to basically pull even, then giving up a goal in the last minute.

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

Bad playcalling plus off target Brady led to an aggravating game until the 4th quarter. Liked what I saw out of the D however. Is San Diego's O-line really bad? Rivers was running for his life all game and the Pats rarely generate that much pressure on the QB.

Seemed to me that they blitzed more than usual last night, and they blitzed in odd ways. In a few plays it looked like there were 12 men on the line of scrimmage. I think that the Chargers were not prepared for it.

I agree with Jon that the O was awful last night, but the D gave up only 7 to a good offense, and in the second half, you never got the feeling that San Diego was going to be able to put together a drive, especially given that their field position would be bad because of the loss of their punter. That sloppy, half-hearted block, and Bolden's effort on the blocked punt was one of the key plays of the game.

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

The week in San Diego agreed withe the D not so much the offense. Brady looked like early season Brady and the D looked as good as could be. Either way its a good win. BS call on Browner when he hit that receiver

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

Wonder how much time Brady spent with family as opposed to practice and preparation?

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

Nice freakin 3 and out Brady, give Miami a TD with a couple secs to go in half.

This looks like a repeat so far and only the special teams and pick is saving them so far. The secondary is giving up big plays like in the GB game.
