Figures they would play well as I didn't get a chance to watch it

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

This whole Brady is back stuff this morning is ridiculous. The Pats lose to Miami, oh woes is me. They destroy the Vikings. Ok, that's better. Two crap games and everyone is questioning whether Brady should retire or be replaced and there's tension and turmoil and OMG it's the end!! Now, one good game against Cincinnati and everything's perfect? How about waiting till they put 2 or 3 of these wins together in a row before we anoint them the AFC representative to the Super Bowl?

In true Boston/New England schizophrenic fashion, Clay Buchholtz will pitch a no-hitter to win the 2015 World Series.:)

Agree. Although Brady is still a top 3 quarterback in this league, IMO. He never left, so where's he back from?

This TEAM still has a ways to go to be better, but that was a good start last night as to them coming together as a team.
Coaching staff did a good job last night with the game plan. Not so good in our losses and the Raiders win. They've got to step it up IMO.

One thing I'm wondering is this: Given that the Pats offense, especially the passing game is more complicated than most, and given the fact that the O-line is in transition, if the CBA restrictions on OTAs, two-a-days and full pad practices hurts the Pats more than other teams. In the past, they've run vanilla offenses and defenses early in the year and they've won, largely on talent. Now, they're not as talented, especially on offense, so they have problems. We'll see over the next few weeks.

Is Tyms on the roster now? If so, that could help explain the Thompkins decision. Maybe Tyms just beat out Thompkins for a job.

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

So apparently Brady's not washed up? Must have spent the week away from Gisele and buckled down studying the playbook and game film.

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

That would take 10 hours to play.
It would shorten the game if Buchholtz pitched a perfect game instead of a no-hitter. Then he'd have no excuse for throwing over to first 85 times even if it's one of the Molina brothers with a six inch lead.

One game does not make him a top 3 QB again. There are 11 more games to be played and it also depends on how well his backs and receivers and line plays. I didn't get to see the game except the last few minutes of it. But I'm glad college hockey is back.

Isn't this what you do during every BU hockey season? :D ;)

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

Again? When did he leave? Name the 3 QB's in the NFL better than Brady. Why?

Speechless.

I'll bet there are many who have better QB ratings and completion %s. Take a look at Bradys numbers the last 5 years. See the trend

I'll take the guy that consistently, year after year, regardless of his running backs, receivers, or offensive line, puts his team in position to win the big one. CONSISTENTLY. This year will be no different. This team sucks right now and I'll bet they make the playoffs. They'll have a chance. They always do with Brady. Cassell led a good Pats team there once. How's that working out now? Wanna bring him back?

When Brady's team sucks around him, Brady sucks. When they don't, he doesn't. There's a reason Edelman is the leading receiver. They are familiar with each other. Gronk appears to still be relearning what Brady's thinking. All others... will they get it? Ocho never did.

Look at the homerun pass Brady threw to LaFell Sunday night. LaFell had his man beat... LaFell QUIT ON THE PLAY!!! Had no idea Brady threw the ball, a ball that he would have run under in stride for six. I'm not buying Brady sucks. I'll take him over any other QB out there. Subject to change when he starts to suck. ;)

I don't think brady sucks, I think his skills have diminished so he can no longer carry a team with a bunch of holes in the lineup.

Put any other QB in that position and there's a good chance his skills and ratings will diminish. ;)

Not a lot of holes Sunday night. When we take what we're given, not so bad.

Re: The 2013 New England Patriots

Brady was never the type of QB to win the game single handedly for you because he can't throw deep with too much accuracy. His skill was managing the game and finding the open receiver 5-15 yards down the field. Nothing wrong with that mind you but that's what he does. He doesn't have Montana's ability to throw on the run or hit his 5th option after scanning the field for two seconds, nor Elway's scrambling ability and deep ball accuracy.

Having said all that as far as QB's in the league now better than him I haven't seen a lot of the west coast guys (Wilson, Kapernak, etc) but I wonder if their offensive coordinators have a better system in place to take advantage of their skills than McDaniels has done for Brady. Manning is as good as Brady at this point in their careers, and Roethlisberger would have better stats on a better team. Not sure Brees or Rodgers are better QB's at this point despite the #'s they put up most seasons.

I dunno. he took an 0-2 team that was going nowhere under Drew Bledsoe to a Super Bowl win. That team didn't suddenly all of a sudden become a good team. That team goes maybe .500 again with Bledsoe at QB.
