Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

He only got two. Millan said postgame that Escobedo didn't tip that last goal -- Millan just whiffed with the glove.

When I said Escobedo would score the game winner, I meant for BU :p It was nice to get some of the bizarre and lucky bounces in the Beanpot for once.

Heh, talk to me when you have a picture of yourself holding the NC in front of a table supporting six other trophies won that year

This works for me.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

With respect to the Periera cross check, that may have been the incorrect call, but he should've been whistled for a penalty, and it wasn't a bad one that he took. He took out a BC forward in front of the net who would've had a wide open goal had the puck made it over there. My first thought was interference since the guy didn't and hadn't had the puck.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

I've been watching BU hockey and the Beanpot since I was born 20 years ago. I've been booing Gravallese for as long as I can remember. This morning is not the first day that I have noticed how bad the officiating is. I've been seeing and complaining about it all year. I hope Hockey East has some better way to evaluate refs, because this year has been a bad year for refs from the first night the puck dropped.

You're arguing with yourself. Nobody said the officiating is good, but IMHO, Gravallese and Benedetto are the best options right now.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

Also, I doubt Gryba was too broken up about the hit and would be more than happy to give the BC player a beating behind the arena after the game if he did. Most likely he was trying to get a call since BU desperately needed a power play, which is smart hockey.

This is pathetic, even for you Copley.

I've got to say, however, that I'm not really sure why as a grown man you are posting on this board all day long and making fun of kids who are still in college. If you have children, I would think you have something better to do. I'm in class right now, thus my incessant posting, but I've got to say that this BC reject theory of yours just isn't a good general statement. My SAT scores and GPA were way higher than BC asked for, yet I did not apply there. I'm not a BC reject. I probably would have gotten in. I'm glad, however, that academics applies so strongly to hockey discussion in your mind. Surely the student athletes on all of these teams could have gotten into BC or BU or UML (well, they probably could have gotten into UML anyways) had they not played hockey.

WHAT?!?!?!?! Preposterous, you mean all students who go to BU are not BC rejects?? I can't believe we haven't figured that out by now.

maybe it is because you are actually brain dead, or maybe you are just pmsing... but you are having a total conniption today and it is hilarious to watch. that is why you are being made fun of. it has nothing to do with your age - which up until this point no one knew.

carry on, crybaby.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

You mean you have never tried the "I'm going to let myself get laid out by one of the other teams smallest players to draw a penalty" play? Jeez, silly you.

You know I am no Roads Scholar, but even I can figure out that Rover was talking about Gryba yelling at the ref to get a call and not lining himself up to get clocked to get a call.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

Tiny has been AWOL and Joe has less to say then normal.

Very cool that they got the trophy to the fans so quickly. Was that as they were getting on or off the bus?
Right after they got back to Conte :)

:D

Was that taken after BC won the 1949 trophy?

:p
Okay, that was hilarious :p You win the thread.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

I was starting to worry that we wouldn't get this years thread to 1000 but now that Hockey East officiating and college admissions are back in the mix I think it's a lock..

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

Apparently not. At least not if spelling the award's name is a requirement.

Well, it's not like it's going to hurt, why not give it a try. :p

We've already seen that they don't call diving in this league. ;)

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

I've got one of me holding my prized possession (my son who was 4 months old at the time) with with all 3 of BC's national title trophies (2 of which I saw in person), the Piszpot, and Lamoriello Trophy among other things.

I win. Talk to me when you get a picture taken with 2 national titles that you've seen your team win and the cutest kid in the world. :D

Dude, first of all give it up with the neg reps on every post that has nothing to do with you, I am already negative 6 billion or something between you, a few select ivy league rejects and the gentlemen from the UML of social awkwardness.

That said..you got a kid? Given your personality here I can't imagine how (now feel free to choose one here) A) how desperate she must have been or b) drunk

Go ahead and add to the neg rep for that.

And for the rest of you boys and girls..this is why society needs to look long and hard at who is allowed to have children, yes it is easier to have one than getting a college degree but, barely it would seem, if you went to BC.

Re: The 2010 Beanpot: Featuring One Team Under Consideration

WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lesson #1 for all children: Elephant walking and hazing are bad.

Maybe someone should teach the kids up in Vermont that. In the meantime, I suggest you drop some acid and hope you can reach a euphoric high. God knows UVM hockey won't do that for you (although most of you guys seem to think beating Yale and Air Force are some monumental accomplishment... along with moral victory against BU).
