Thanks for the Memories (WARNING: Long)

Re: Thanks for the Memories (WARNING: Long)

This is exactly why SLU fans are so proud of our program, win or lose. It's all about people: good kids, good students, good families, and a great education. Nobody's perfect, but in the long run our team and our university have their priorities straight and their focus right where it ought to be. We think St. Lawrence is a pretty special place because of it.

For Saints fans, it's nice to read an essay like this one because it epitomizes everything we all love about our own team and our own school. But it's equally nice to be reminded that there are lots of other great people having wonderful experiences at other schools all over the country because of college hockey.

Talk about hitting the nail on the head.

ditto on all that's been said. Best of luck down the road to you and your family!

Re: Thanks for the Memories (WARNING: Long)

It was a pleasure to watch your son play over the past four years and he adapted quite well at the college level. I'm sure he will be able to adapt just as well in the pros. He had one hell of a season this year and the goal against Clarkson will be memorable for SLU fans for a long time. I was at the Ledyard tournament in Dartmouth a couple years ago and remember the penalty shot vs BU quite well - it was awesome and to me that was one of the best games ever. Take care and best wishes to you and your family Bob!

Re: Thanks for the Memories (WARNING: Long)

Well done, Bob.

Here is hoping that your positive comments about US college hockey and its players, coaches and fans will balance any of the negative comments (i.e. Dean Lombardi etc.) that seem to garner more publicity.

Thank you for the kind words.
