Venus and Leylah are such an awesome story, definitely one of the best all year in sports. Was lucky enough to see the last couple games and hopefully they can keep it going.

I don’t like him, but he seems to realize he can’t run with the kids anymore.
 
The second game was pretty darned different than the first. While it started to be a blowout, FAA totally turned the game in set 2, and had some amazing fight and chances through the last two games of set 4. He pressed even when you could see him hit a wall with the tiredness.

We heard over the radio that Sinner had something with his gut- stomach or abs was not clear. But his play clearly dropped off. Still, he’s so good, he had aces at much lower serve speeds. Great player even though we are Alcatraz fans.

FAA is so close to being able to upset the top 3.

Trump ruined the US Open final for many fans yesterday. They were delayed getting in and many missed the first few games of the match.

Townsend lost in the doubles final. Gotta be just a bummer tournament overall for her.

Even though they lost, Taylor was pretty positive after the match. I think Anisimova was more crushed losing Saturday than Townsend on Friday.
 
It was also interesting to see how Sinner took the loss- he clearly though he gave all he could and was ok with it.

Alcaraz had a look from the first game two weeks ago that he probably was going to win.
