Ummm officially or unofficially?

Depends on where. In the Northeast most don't "allow" it. However, having a close friend who put herself through college dancing (in New England, NYC and a few times in Florida) she often commented on the frustrations that so many of the dancers (particularly the Russians who have taken over most strip clubs) would allow groping, and in some cases, "extras" and the clubs and staff would look the other way. Keep in mind most clubs want as many girls as they can get as much of the club revenue is from the dancers fees as they are required to pay some decent fees each night they work as well as often the club takes a cut from each private dance, lap dance, champagne room etc.
Varied from club to club but I remember her sticking to New England clubs as she said they tend to be more strict, NYC it depends on how upscale the club is, and in the South it's pretty much up to the dancer where things go.

16 and 17 yr olds in this environment is a pretty disturbing thought.

In a seemingly unrelated event, USCHO poster Brian Gentry just declared this the happiest day of his life and announced plans to move back to his mansion in the coveted Ocean Drive section of Newport. :eek: :eek: :eek: :D

I saw another news feed that said these same strippers are allowed to make prostitution deals while giving a dance. Apparently, the girls can solicit in a one-on-one situation, but not advertise like a brothel in Nevada would. If they're allowing prostitution only in these situations, then many of these women and, seemingly, girls likely welcome a little touch before the larger paying acts begin. It's a little try-before-you-buy salesmanship. And some of the club owners, like others have said, are going to want the girls in their clubs where the patrons know to what extent they can go.

most of the strip clubs in Montreal? Look for places that advertise "Dance contact". It is legal, but regulated.

Went there for my bachelor party a few years ago: $10 lets you grope a topless girl for one song in a little booth with no door. They have the rules posted on the wall. The sign I noticed included diagrams in case you couldn't read - I don't remember if it was french only. They had a circle around them and the "do nots" had lines through them (think the no smoking symbol) e.g. She isn't allowed to sit/grind on your lap, there is one place you can't touch (use your imagination)..., you can't remove her bottoms or put your hands under them, no mouth contact - although my friend gave this girl $40 and she ignored that one for a few songs - The funny thing is she was telling me "she remembered my friend him from a year ago", so I guess this wasn't the first time he asked her for special treatment.

also had multiple strippers in SF tell me their private dances were "full contact" but I have no idea if that was technically legal or they just try to get extra business.
