Tech @ Denver: Will the WCHA adopt a mercy rule? Running time? Please!

Re: Tech @ Denver: Will the WCHA adopt a mercy rule? Running time? Please!

Prediction: Chevy will be able to take a first period nap because Tech will come out flatter than a pannaku (Finnish pancake), he'll make a few token saves in the second while casually lounging in the crease and doing his finance homework, then spend the third playing Guitar Hero on the Magness jumbotron (which he can do because DU biz school alums had the money to make it happen ;)).

Is that pannaku covered with shiitake?

I dunno about pannaku, but pannakoeken (sp?) is awesome. A little lemon, a little butter......ooooohhhh yeah.

I can tell this thread is not going to be about hockey

Saturday - FSN Rocky Mountain and FCS Atlantic at 7:00 PM MT

With Tech's Tragic Number at 8 points, clinching last place IS IN PLAY THIS WEEKEND.

A DU sweep, along with a Mankato sweep of UAA, would take care of all 8 points needed for Tech to mathematically ensure sole possession of last place.

Technically, a TN of 7 would ensure a tie for last with Mankato, who holds the tiebreaker over us. But that's not good enough for me :p

ETA: Someone last year (pretty sure it was F2B&G) posted a table that calculated the odds of each team finishing in a certain position in the WCHA. Still got that handy?

The handle "F2B&G" and the word "calculated" do not belong in the same sentence. Especially right next to each other. :p

I guess I could've posted that link, but I doubt it.

EDIT: You have to like how, a year after tying the conference record for ties in a single season, we have no conference ties this year. At least we aren't all wishy-washy about sucking this year - when we're bad, we're bad.

Tech will have a vocal contingent at the game. Mike, Ed, I'm looking at you. Tech has a chance to take one of these games. And w00t w00t! they're on TV. be there!

If nothing else, Denver will be feeling quite confident...

Eh. I'm not going to win this year's Pick 'Em anyway, may as well pick Tech to win one on the road. :o
