Re: Sweet Release: Michigan Tech Offseason Thread Part I

Time to start naming potential assistant coach candidates... ;) Challenge no candidates who are still playing professional/semipro hockey.

ATTENTION JERSEY CHASERS

Now you can have your own jersey. $125 buys you a brand new, fully customized, authentic jersey. Any color (home white, away black, third gold). Contact me at sryager [at] mtu.edu ASAP!

So has Biddco ordered a MeanEguy yet?

 I'm still in mourning.

GLM >>>>>> Anthony "Newscaster Voice" LaPanta.
For a day job he could fill the void left when KFAN's own crackhead went to prison. I believe the only job qualification is to be able to put up with PA for 4 hours straight.

No.

Thought - if both assistants leave, do the odds of Olson deciding he'd rather play in the ECHL this fall increase?

Re: Sweet Release: Michigan Tech Offseason Thread Part I

b) defensive because everyone assumes he's responsible for the last two decades.

c) pißed off in general, and maybe he'll be able to translate that into fire for his team in the fall.

When it comes to communicating with someone whose job is half PR/fundraising, this is what I like about letters. It's a lot harder for him to cover up his true thoughts and emotions behind a smile and an upbeat tone.

I wasn't about to sit there and type the whole letter out, but if you could read all of the context, you'd be able to tell that he is frustrated with the way things have gone, and that no one is more passionate about the program than he is.

He may try to sugar-coat some things, and I know he does genuinely appreciate the fanbase we do have, but I can guarantee you that he isn't too happy about my comparing the program to the fustercluck that is the Leafs organization. ;)

Shirtless, I did get your email. I can't do it at home, but I'll see if I can take it to the OU campus one night before class and get it scanned in. I'll let you know by the end of the week, either way.

Jim Montgomery of RPI was chosen over Mikesch for the Head Coaching job at Dubuque.

Edit: Maybe he'll go apply for the Finlandia head coaching position...

That would probably be a good fit for him. Its his home town, head coaching position, and I would imagine that he would have some recruiting pull with the players that Finlandia targets.

Looks like Tok will be getting the Head Coaching position with the Austin Bruins of the NAHL. I believe Mikesch's university supplied vehicle was back by the offices today.
