Snickers is winning the Adbowl in every demographic with their "You're Not You" ad. Doritos' "House Rules" is second. The beer truck is in 8th.

I didn't like either of those. Not surprised I guess. The Milkaholic one from etrade was heeeeelarious.

Re: Super Bowl Commercials 2010

I had two faves.

Leno-Letterman-Oprah
The Milkaholic.

That one has still got me questioning how it came to be.
First off, I thought it was hilarious. The fact that Letterman has had ongoing issues with Oprah and recent ones with Leno made it even better that it was a pitch for Dave's show. :D
Now, did NBC just roll over and say "Whatever. We can't sink any lower on this debacle. Any publicity is good publicity"?
Does the fact that Leno appeared in a commercial for Late Night make Jay Dave's b*itch?
How big of a hammer did CBS have to swing to get Oprah to do it, or was she there to "keep the peace" and enjoying the whole concept?
Again, I thought it was awesome, but there's probably more to it than we saw

ETA: - I should really Google This stuff first

The Adbowl is now complete. The top 10:

Snickers (You're Not You)
Doritos (House Rules)
Google (Parisian Love)
Volkswagen (Punch Dub)
Doritos (Underdog)
E*Trade (Girlfried)
Bridgestone (Whale of a Tale)
Budweiser (Bridge Out/Beer Truck)
Hyundai (Old Brett Favre)
McDonald's (The Showdown)

The under 17 crowd put TruTv's Troy Palamalu/Groundhog Day #3 and the Green Police by Audi in a tie for 4th. Women ranked the Clydesdales 5th, but men not at all.

Re: Super Bowl Commercials 2010

Lousy bunch of ads... I was very dissappointed. Bring back Bud Bowls!!!

Also, I didn't see the Weird Science parody one... terrible! ;)

Re: Super Bowl Commercials 2010

- Arcade Fire was the MVP with the "Wake Up" commercial at least 4 or 5 times, so they probably cleaned up pretty well.
- Bud Light and Doritos have the right idea of avoiding throwing in a bunch of big name stars for one or two big commercials that go nowhere (I'm looking at you Pepsi of all last decade) and instead going for several quicker and cleaner that get some good laughs and get the point across.
- The Google one was definitely cute and effective; this was their first commercial ever right?
- Despite what I said about putting stars in your commercial, there's an exception if it's Betty White and Tessio.
- Milkaholic was good; didn't car too much for the Green Police and the Griswalds; overall the best were White/Vigoda, hands of my mom/Doritos, the Bud Light one with the autotuning and the human bridge, and Google.
- For all the bruhaha it made it was hard to even notice the Tim Tebow one.

Re: Super Bowl Commercials 2010

I thought the Doritos Gym was the best of the Doritos commercials. The Google one and the Snickers "You're not you" were also good. Other than that I felt ho hum about the rest.

Re: Super Bowl Commercials 2010

I thought the Audi ad was great. Loved the Green Police.

The Green Police ad really made me mad. Honestly. Just the concept of someone going through your trash in some Nazi-istic way to bust you for some silly thing really rubbed me the wrong way. I guess the humor in that one went right over my head. :(

Loved the Google ad. I almost cried. :o

Also loved the Farve ad. That was hilarious. :) I give the guy credit, the humor that makes fun of his indecisions is neat. It shows how comfortable in his own skin he really is.

Just imagine the person being busted is a terrorist...now do you get it?
