Yes, although regardless of the scores I thought the Devil's were more consistent at a higher level tonite than last night. A good sign, team is gelling (?)

True, but that first game was ugly, they brought out a machine gun in that 2nd period. I suspect next weekend will be a couple of wins.....well should be.

Here's a link to the arena, with a telephone number to verify hours. Also you can go to Cactus Sports just off Mill Avenue, but selection is sometimes not as good.

Unfortunately, we booked our trip before the schedule came out. Would have liked to catch a game, but settled for a Yotes loss last night. Will try to catch you next time

Westgate is a fun area. My house is 6 miles due north of it Appears Coyotes might be moving out to Tempe in a couple years.
Next year Devils will be in the new arena.

My father-in-law lives in Apache Junction, so Tempe would be better for us. Bit of a pain for you though...

It's kind of the mobile home of arenas.....but its home. Iconic name being in the desert, but has to do with being next to Big Surf.

You know Marketing people. I once stayed at a hotel in Pontoon Beach Illinois. There was no beach, no pontoon........

Apache Junction is generally a nice place, scenic, close to lakes on that side of the Valley & the Superstitions. Its got a few iffy and run-down areas like anywhere. I can take the light rail that starts a couple miles north and east of Gila River Arena and ends at Sun Devil Stadium, 2 blocks from the new arena, takes about 1 to 1.5 hours from my house, not too bad. I picked my area based on all my relatives there and high school buddies live within a 4 mile radius. College buddies are scattered across the USA so that had no bearing.

He lives in one of those gated retirement RV communities. But, yeah, we saw some of the more run-down spots.

Small world. My grandparents, when they were alive, wintered in La Hacienda RV Resort down in Apache Junction. Made it down there once when I was in college and did a driving Spring Break trip out west.
