Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

I don't know if anything will ever top the Jimmy V ESPY speech, but Stuart Scott just came pretty **** close.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

I have been using SI.com in recent years for my general sports news and scores. Recently SI rolled out a new online format which is a G-D disaster. Combine the new format with Peter King, I'm done. I refuse to use or support ESPN in any way (except frozen four). So I ask, can someone suggest a decent alternative? Sporting News has a terrible format as well, I can't find anything. Help!

NBCSN, Fox Sports, Yahoo Sports, SB Nation
I just use Twitter and Google or Bing.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

I fully expect this thread to explode soon with the antics that Stephen A. Smith spewed forth this morning on air. :D

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

A three part act in which we all must continue to question why First Take continues to exist:

Part 1: In which Stephen A. Smith makes an *** of himself. (Gold star to anyone who can get through the video without pausing it to avoid awkward overload)

Part 2: In which Michelle Beadle reacts to it more or less how a person should, and sort of becomes an ironic counterpoint to the whole argument, since there is NO WAY that woman will ever go on TV without wearing something that shows off her figure.

Part 3: In which Smith defends himself by more or less repeating what he said in a long twitter tirade.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

What's interesting will be how ESPN handles Beadle's reaction. Simmons got a Twitter detention for insulting First Take IIRC.

If ESPN gives Beadle any reprimand their campus in Bristol might be burned to the ground.

Re: Still Complaining About ESPN...

Now Screamin A says his multi-post rant on Twitter has been misinterpreted so he's writing a blog post. He really needs to give up. He keeps digging himself deeper and no one is buying his crap.

He *cough* apologized to Beadle and any other women who may have "misconstrued" what he said on the show this morning. A classic non-apology apology, while simultaneously insulting Beadle and other women who were offended by what he said in the first place.

Michelle has been awfully quiet lately. I bet the pressure is on from ESPN brass to have Beadle publicly accept Smith's apology. Hopefully she'll tell them to eff off.

I hope so. I'm sure Fox Sports (she's a she, is blonde, and she likes sports) and NBCSports (she's into hockey, right?) wouldn't mind adding her to their staff should ESPN do something really stupid.
