Stevenson has added Mens ice hockey and will join the ECAC west! Lebanon Valley now to make it an even eight?

ECAC west will have autobid in 2018-19 at latest.

Any links to this announcment I could not find anything official on the athletics page mainly I am wondering if they also have on-campus rink plans too?

According to Stevenson's website, they'll use the Reisterstown Sportsplex for games and practice.

At this point the members would take a pond hockey rink. Some teams are going to have to beef up their NC schedule now for sure .....

And speaking of the West, but switching genders, when will the SUNYAC get women's hockey?

When two additional SUNY schools field women's programs, making the potential conference AQ-eligible. The current five don't have any particular qualms with the present situation as far as I'm aware, so there's no cause for them to go all WIAC on everyone.

Yep knew that part. My inquiry was more toward any info on any schools adding the program

Great news. Heck if the NYU move materializes UC, EC, and Hobart will become the outliers in the ECAC-W.

If the D-III (Liberty League) wishes to repeat in holding both men's hockey championships, we're all rooting for RIT. I am.

EDIT: Do we have enough for 12 team national championship tournament? Though if The Powers That Be, to save money, eliminate Pool C, that may be moot anyway.

Not to take things to far off topic but if NYU really does come to pass I could see a tenth school coming form the DC/Baltimore/Northern Va area maybe a John's Hopkins or UMBC by Stevenson out in Bmore or one of the smaller Schools in Northern Va the caps really do a good job of putting hockey on the locals minds so I think it might work

Looks good. 14 game conference schedule (H & H). Gives 11 OOC's. Though, being geographic outliers, I wonder who will be coming to Charm & Chocolate City for OOC's?

NOTE: UMBC is a Division I school. Can't play (as a counter) in a D-III league.
