State of College Hockey

Re: State of College Hockey

Please, call me when you organize something like that to support your team. Well, I'm unlisted. And screen calls.

Remember when the tUMD nitwits organized a car wash just so they could afford a trip to Boston for the 2004 FF? God the bragging about that for weeks on end was hilarious. I don't think I'd ever seen anyone so proud of such a small accomplishment as tPB folks were. And seeing them in person was even more priceless... they exceeded my expectations, which were already set incredibly low.

I was just about to mention to this poster about his/her BU counterparts that stalk the BU team and sure enough you showed up. Your timing is impeccable. Where's Rogie (though technically he only stalks the kids BU is recruiting and stops when they get there).?

BU stalker. UMD stalker.
UMD stalker. BU stalker.

Now you've been introduced!

Again, so stupid! Parise is h0t!!111! Kronick could never look like that! But, at the risk of working Rabib into a lather again, when I pointed out that Mitch Ryan had not been nearly such a windfall for the team as Coole and Kronick, Rabib fell all over himself trying to find a loophole to discount him. "But... but... SHOE SALESMAN... and... dsfkhgdshgsd." I think that was a direct quotation.

Well, I'm not Rabib (thank God). I will say that Mitch Ryan was a bust, though I personally wish he'd gotten in more games, but apparently Motzko wasn't seeing something I thought I was. And while he wasn't expected to do much, he exceeded less than that.

Thanks for reminding me sexism is alive and well.

Ok, so a man and his son are in a car crash...

Fangirl?

ZOMG!!1!!!1! UMD stalkers are like our long-lost brothers (and sisters)!! It's so nice to know we're not alone in the stalking world.

Thanks for reminding me sexism is alive and well.

We have had this dicussion many times in the Hockey East threads. Females are still fanboys (conclusion reached for many, many reasons). Think of it as one word and not a compound word putting the two together.

As a side note, we also concluded that we wouldn't have had to have the aforementioned discussion if chicks would just stay in the kitchen where they belong. :D

Everything is sexist to you. Maybe you're just projecting.

Well, I'm tired of people assuming I'm a dude.

I'm flabbergasted by this logical response.

Why would I debase myself by entering a Hockey East thread?

Re: State of College Hockey

No, what's really sad is that you went to collegehockeystats.net or some other such site, looked it up, and then claimed to be some sort of Bulldog hockey expert. This is not proprietary information. I know this. I am practically stalking the entire team.

This would have been a much smarter post if you'd just said "Oops...I didn't understand that you meant he was a 3rd stringer a couple years ago rather than last year."

Gee, so am I.

As for the "honest response," it's hard to be a bust when you have no expectations to begin with.
Anyone who thought Ryan was going to come here and light it up, especially under the circumstances in which he was put on the team, was fooling themselves

Write a screenplay of what I should have said, and I will bring it to life.

It was so incredibly unnecessary for me to argue his point, but since you insist I must, of course he was going to be the "3rd string" his freshman year. He was a freshman. He got a red-shirt because he was the "3rd string." Ziggy played 8 minutes the entire season. That wasn't worth wasting a year of eligibility for Kenny. Hjelle played 4 periods of hockey in 08-09. Hardly a material amount of playing time. In 08-09 it was the Alex Stalock Show. Both Kenny AND Brady were distant 2nd/3rd stringers. Rabib's implication that Hjelle sucked so bad that some practice goalie off the street took his spot was so far off base I didn't think I had to bother addressing it. Whatever.

I can't really bring myself to talk about this anymore. Not because it's not worth the bother, but I'm finding myself in a position of defending a person I don't want to defend anymore. I'll certainly defend Hjelle as a player to the extent that he deserves it (although this was really more a defence of Kenny), but I got an email a couple hours ago that changed things.

Now, let's get back on topic here. I'll shave my legs and my pits, but I'm keeping the back hair.
