St. Thomas 2024-2025

Tommy bahamas...You had one job. Win two games from Lindenwoodhead this weekend. Evidently, that was too difficult a job for you.

I said last season that Joel needed to remind his players that a period is 20 minutes in length. Now he is likely reminding them that a series consists of at least two games. Hangover from the after game party? Over confidence from yesterdays easy win? I had forgot that it was an early afternoon game. When I tuned in with 5 minutes left, the score was 4 - 1 Lindenwood, and the Tommies were playing with an empty net. That eventually proved counter productive, and a seeing eye goal at the end capped a determined effort by Lindenwood, the final being 6 - 1. Lessons learned I hope.
I noticed that Josey Dunne scored for Lindenwood. Nice to see all the talent in women's hockey getting some ice time.

Tommy Bahamas...Are you still in hangover mode?...You follow up crapping the bed against lindenwoodhead with another stinker tonight against the lumberjills.

Getting swept by the Bemidji Beavers is not something anyone wants to say. Game 2 at least they came back from a bad first period. Down 3 - 0 the Tommies made a game of it, but the Beavers got the sweep with 4 goals to the 3 that St. Thomas were able to come up with. These are interesting times.

I’m sure the full story will leak out eventually. Joel wasn’t on the bench Saturday and there were reasons for that. Joel is a good guy and I hope he eventually lands on his feet.

agree, he's a good guy. Hope this isn't something terrible and that he comes out of this okay.

Mark Johnson knew something was going on when he did his presser this morning. He was alluding to the situation at the end of the presser talking about the next opponent which is the Tommiettes.

huh yep...

...if they are going through that period right now trying to figure that out uh you know they got some issues outside of the rink that are going on that you know are causing some things that uh create change and so how do you come out of that it's like dealing with life...

Hopefully when things come out and if by chanc, they may not be good I'd say don't jump to conclusions. Too often people judge in the Internet court of public opinion.

This news is a shocker. So it's Bethany's team again. I can't wait to hear more about this soap opera.

Everyone connected with the league in any way knew this way going down last weekend. It was just a matter of how/when St. Thomas was going to release the info. I was actually surprised Mark mentioned anything in his presser. As far as those waiting for the dirt to come out, I really hope it doesn’t. Give Joel some space. Good people make mistakes and good people have issues they need to deal with. Also, when Mark referred to “issues outside the rink” in his press conference, he was referring to what the team has been dealing with all week in regards to the change in the coaching staff, not anything crazy that people need to speculate about.

Yes, and people are also capable of repentance and the forgiveness that comes with that.
