Wow. Congratulations to him! Also a big day for the program.Carbery has been named a finalist for the NHL’s Jack Adams award.
Can't say that I'm surprised... I've heard some rumors that the project is running into financial hurdles due to new tariffs on materials, though I could be wrong on the specifics. That sucks, but I'm sure the players and coaching staff were informed of this ahead of time. I would be remiss if I didn't ask about the source. I'm assuming a donor email. An update on SNC's new rink - doesn't look like it will be done anytime soon - and certainly not in time for the start of the season:

Thanks to your incredible generosity and commitment, St. Norbert College’s hockey programs are on their way to having state-of-the-art locker rooms at the new Cornerstone Community Center rink addition. We are deeply grateful for your support.
This transformative enhancement will provide our student-athletes with world-class facilities and deliver an unmatched game-day experience for our fans. You helped us reach our fundraising goals—and we can’t thank you enough.
I am excited to share that Cornerstone Community Center is making progress on Rink 4 — the future home of community events, including St. Norbert College varsity hockey.
At this time, we plan to play all upcoming games in our current rinks. We will work closely with our supporters to ensure a smooth transition once we know when our first game in the new building will be.
This project is more than a building—it’s a legacy in the making, and we are honored to have you as part of it.

Waiting on the release of the roster to do my new additions posts like I did last season... but getting the NAHL +/- leader is pretty crazyLooks like there has indeed been some trickle-down with the admission of CHL players into NCAA. Most listed new recruits for SNC here have USHL experience, mostly complete seasons https://www.eliteprospects.com/team/2119/st.-norbert-college
Excited for the season to get rolling!
And the kid is 6’4”. This shows how competitive D1 (and D3) roster spots are becoming. Must be a slightly below average skater with his size and junior statistics. Looks like a great pickup, as does most of the rest of the class…... but getting the NAHL +/- leader is pretty crazy
Oof. Pushing back an entire year is really tough.Name Reveal for new rink: Schneider Family Arena.
Now set to open in Fall 2026.
Nah, SNC's current rink situation could be FAR worse, especially by D3 standards.Oof. Pushing back an entire year is really tough.
