St. Norbert College, 2014-15 - The Drive for Five

Re: St. Norbert College, 2014-15 - The Drive for Five

It was nice seeing some of the boys that normally don't get much time get in the game tonight, and I thought they did a good job.
On a side note did any of you SNC fans take note that there were 2 Badger sporting events in Madison today?.. If I remember correctly that was one of the excuses given for the closed game, scrimmage, practice or whatever they called it between SNC and the Badgers due to the fact they could not
staff 2 events in one day.... hmmm?....
nice pick up...maybe they hired part time holiday help:eek:

Looks like Buffalo only has 2 goalies on the roster so maybe the coach rested his starting goalie for the weekend knowing his team was going to lose regardless of which goalie played. No use risking injury or unnecessarily exhausting your #1 goalie for these games. Save him for conference play.

He (the #1 goalie - Mike DeLaVergne) was injured during their game in Plattsburgh, I was at the game, on the same end as the goalie and whatever the injury, it was NOT caused from contact with a player, but he has not played since - it appeared to be a hamstring or other strain.

The goalie that they did start performed admirably considering the one sided games. He was peppered all weekend and held up as well as he could. The difference in talent level was way too much to overcome.

Considering I've been doing the football-hockey double annually for about 15 years, I'll testify that was someone just saying whatever came to mind first.

Everyone is missing the truth... It was obviously all the WIAC's fault!!! UW - Madison was just following state school policy and was monitoring expenses. :-) bad joke sorry!

SNC moved their record to 200 -- 23 -- 12, since moving into the CCC, with their win this past Saturday,...quite the home ice advantage!!

Clearly the NCAA needs to investigate the visitors locker rooms

Good to see them explode for a big night Saturday. Bill must not have driven to Appleton to jinx Jake late again.

No, Bill was on hand, but he behaved himself...
Had a fun night, beyond the action on the ice, seeing a couple hockey related videos off his phone.
Also, rehashed the "WIAC" Hitler video from a couple years ago.
The ice was tilted in our favor all night...first period explosion set the tone..

I almost asked the same question that I asked Friday night but decided to keep my mouth shut as I want to stay in good standing with the SNC faithful.;)

So Friday night game our team is cruising, there is literally like 1:08 left, my lovely husband utters the S word, and five seconds later Lawrence finds the back of the net.
Let's just say he learned his lesson and did NOT use the word Saturday evening :)

I heard from a friend of a friend who knows someone in section G where this may have also happened. I was told that the loyal SNC fan for over 25 years was severely beaten by what was supposed to be his friends, family, and fellow SNC fans. ;) I sure hope that they forgive him by the second half of the season and take into effect his long term support of SNC! His bruises should heal by then!:D

Re: St. Norbert College, 2014-15 - The Drive for Five

Let's just say good thing he was not sitting in my section, saying that word around a goalie mom is NEVER a good end result... ha! :eek:That word is forbidden to say at any given time during a hockey game.
