I'm honored that I was actually able to give you some valuable info. for a change. I look forward to your posts and updates concerning the Skating Saints - they are always insightful and informative!
Glad you agree with my assessment of the Saints in the near future - watch out - they'll be reliving the glory years!

Yes, he played. Unfortunately, both announcers seemed to talk about no one who wasn’t named Eichel.

Hey gang, you might want to get ahold of the person in charge of the TV broadcast. The sound in the women's game sounds like the announcers are in a car wash. Very garbled.

EDIT: Congrats to your ladies. They knocked off the defending National Champions 5 - 3 (ENG).

The puck has dropped from Appleton Arena and here we go for the 2014-2015 season ... Let's Go Saints!

I like the look of all the freshmen and they seem to be in condition . I think #26, Mike Marnell is going to be a good one ----All the goaltenders looked sharp.

I was impressed with the speed of the team as a whole, especially the freshmen. Gluchowski is going to be very good in the next few years (if not now), he showed me a lot of promise. It's hard to say with our youth how we will do this year. We definitely have a lot of young talent and we will be strong, very strong in the next few years to come!

Another very good class from the looks of it and Horn can't even play until 10/22 (because Lucia is a jerk).

Too many penalties. I won't sweat that in an exhibition but it better be cleaner next week. Good to see Tommy Thompson back. I think it will be exciting.

Marnell does skate well.

Got 6, with Horn, sitting out until 10/22 will he keep 4 years of eligibility to play for the Saints?

No, he only has 2 years of eligibility. He could have more but Don Lucia is a d-bag. The most he could have is three I believe. Actually, missing one month, he has 2 years minus october 2014.

According to SLU's website he has 3 years of eligibility.

As of June, I am certain it was two. BUT, possibly they appealed to the NCAA or I was wrong. I hope it's three but am still pretty certain it is two. Potentially, this is why he has to sit until 10/22 as I think that is the date he left Minnesota? Thus, it may support the position he has three.

It looks like something has changed and you are right, but I'd like confirmation now too. What I didn't know is it looks like Horn was headed to Wisco before making a good decision to come to Canton.

A rough start to the year.
On the positive, the Freshman Class is already making large contributions.
Looks like our patience will be tested this year. We are very, very young. Hopefully we will progress and improve as the season rolls along, unlike in past seasons where we started out well and faded. Maybe this year will be the opposite?

A few freshmen are definitely making contributions and I expect Horn will too in two weeks. I am sure RIT was fired up last night opening their new rink. With such large concentrations of talent and numbers in the Freshmen and Sophomore class we are going to go through this. The team feels a lot like 85-86 where the Fr and So classes were so dominant. Only concern I see so far is we are taking too many penalties many of which are avoidable, and we need much better team defense as goal scoring will not be as easy this year by a wide margin.

Hope they get the win tonight against Niagara. The next three weeks could be ugly with a good Ferris State team, an always good Miami team and our favorite nerd school...or second favorite.;)
