Not changing mine.........I picked SLU 9th and hope the Saints shove that pick down my throat and really shove it up my you-know-what, and think they will do both.:o

Re: St Lawrence Hockey

Saw that Nick Lappin started his collegiate career at Brown with a goal tonight. I also saw an article that said rather than following in his dad's footsteps at SLU he wanted to "start his own path."

. . . by going to Brown? Mission accomplished. :)

The other part of the article was about how he and his dad wanted an "Ivy league" education for him. Can't fault a kid or a dad for that I guess. It didn't say if he had other Ivy options as one would think if that was a main criteria there certainly would have been better choices.

Re: St Lawrence Hockey

Looks like I will be making my first appearance at Appleton for the Qpac and Princeton series. Been at least a year and a half. Flying back to NY for the 16-24, hunting and Thanksgiving.

Certainly not. I've never met Nick, but he's apparently a bright guy and appears to have his priorities straight. I'll never get used to seeing "Lappin" on the back of a different sweater (Brown? Really? :)), but in the end it's not about that. This kid is surrounded by people who had great success in college hockey and even better success after graduation. Good for him.

Re: St Lawrence Hockey

Achievement unlocked: Target Self (crack top 20 after 4 games).

16th. Let's see if the boys embrace it or succumb to pressure. Target is on our backs now.

Re: St Lawrence Hockey

I guess we'll figure out what there is to do in Canton this weekend, yeah? [I won't be making the trip.]

Taking some shots at the Brown experience here, huh? I had to double check the record books to see why you were talking like you were on par with a BC, BU, UND,Clarkson, etc.....didn't see it? And academically.....I think SLU sent me an acceptance letter and I didn't even apply. They said I had a pulse and a HS diploma so I qualified.

Lol you mad bro? Must be fun for the Bruno hockey team playing in front of a raucous 750 fans most games, isn't it? And Meehan, man what a splendid place to play! Best rink in the ECAC, hands down.

Brunofan, I was just kind of wondering if in your assiduous Ivy League standard reseach effort you looked at how many ECAC championhips Brown has won? Trips to the NCAAs? Frozen Fours? Championship Games? And, of course Brown scrapes up and admits all those kids of celebrities purely on their merits.

You know what?

Brown is a very very good university with a sad hockey tradition and an even more pathetic facility. St. Lawrence is a very good college with a rich hockey tradition and a beautiful, historic facility (and incidentally is one of only four of the 56 D1 hockey schools, along with Brown, sporting a perfect academic advancement rate for its players. Now, could you please go back to your freezing cold, echoing, empty igloo of a rink to admire your acceptance letter?

Actually, no I wasn't. Brown has been our nemesis for quite a while now in case you hadn't noticed. But it was nice of you to show up here and act like an ignorant blowhard anyway.

My SLU education has served me very well over the years....................I can really thank my lucky stars, you ignorant fool, that I had a pulse and a HS diploma when I applied.
