Oh wow. I suppose the only good thing I can think of out of this is we'll probably step it up tomorrow night and win in front of the home crowd. Pretty sure this just might have knocked us off that #1 seed though.

Well that first period was just ugly, I don't blame it all on Dunn, the entire team failed to show up. We've always struggled against MSU and play down to their talent... very frustrating, but we need to bounce back tomorrow with a statement game. I just pray that Raboin can play.

Who starts in goal tomorrow? For those of you who don't know, Dunn was pulled 1/2 through the 1st after giving up 3 quick ones.

With UMD losing to AA that locks us into either 3rd or 4th..but at this point it does not matter. We aren't winning anything this year.

Tonight Wisconsin clinches 2nd while CC and Minnesota clinch 6th and 7th respectively. UAA then pulls out a last minute victory over Duluth leaving MSU in 9th for the moment.

Feel free to correct my late night/early morning math, but there are now only two ways I can figure that the Mavs/Huskies rematch next weekend. 1) UMD/UAA tie Saturday night and the Mavericks win or 2) SCSU/MSU tie and UMD beats UAA.

Here are some other scenarios that I see on Saturday night that affect SCSU/MSU (again, feel free to correct me as I am pretty tired right now--I also did this before reading anyone elses' blogs or posts as someone else has probably better figured it out):
-->If UMD and Mankato win, then Mankato goes to the DECC while Cloud will then host either the U or CC depending on what UND does (I'm not sure who wins the tiebreaker here? It probably goes head-to-head and I haven't looked that up). UMD should get the tiebreaker with SCSU for conference wins.
-->If SCSU wins, they clinch 3rd and will play UAA; that sends MSU to Madison.
-->If UND and UMD win while SCSU loses, I have no friggin' clue how to break that one. UMD probably has 3rd due to conf. wins and then the aforementioned SCSU/UND tiebreaker applies? Seems to me there has been another 3-way tie of recent and different rules apply, but I'm not sure?

Gotta love the WCHA come the last weekend of the regular season. Good thing they give [some of] us a college degree to try and figure it out :p ;) :D

UND holds the tiebreaker over both UMD and SCSU.
The first tiebreaker is H2H, and UND wins that over UMD.

The Mavs are now 4-5 against Minnesota schools for the year. A win tomorrow would get us back to .500 in that category. We look for small comforts.

We win the tie with Duluth due to head to head record. I noticed last night that right after the loss we dropped to eighth in the pairwise and by the end of the night are back up to fifth.

Win tonight and sweep next weekend and the pairwise will take care of it's self.
