That wasn't rust, that was fail.

And I hate to say it, because I've been I've been in his camp all year, but Mitch Ryan looked like a deer in headlights last night. :(

Pretty bummed out right now, but a win tonight would go a long way in restoring my confidence.

I think it was the way we lost coming out and laying an egg like that in the first period that made it so discouraging. But a loss is a loss and a win is a win. I don't care how they do it tonight just do it!

SCSU flared out the second half of the first period. It was 1-0, well within reach until about the 10 min mark of period 1. Things always look different when watched again.

They outscored and outshot MSU the final two.

What did you expect from Ryan. He hasn't played for months.

I totally forgot he even played until you said something...and thats not a good thing; i'd like to at least hear a player's name called once during the game hah.

In his defense, how many times did you hear Volpei or Christians called as well. 4th line didn't see a lot of ice last night with the penalties, which unfortunatley is the way the WCHA is becoming...pretty much a 3 line league.

I remember hearing Volpei's name a few times, but only because the announcer kept calling him Vol-Pie, haha.

Congrats to a successful weekend this past, but bring it on! All games at the NHC, with everything on the line, I like our chances greatly.

It's going to be a crazy WCHA 1st round.
I could see any of the 3/8, 4/7, or 5/6 series going either way.

Oh, don't worry, I like your chances, too. Fool you once, shame on us; fool you twice, shame on you ;) :D :)

I really have liked Cloud's play this year, and I really don't have much faith in MSU's. Mankato has decent talent, but... well, as we've discussed before, you've been there :o :(

EDIT: 3-1 UMD at the end of the 2nd. UAA gets a goal late to make it a game going into the 3rd.

Are you kidding me? Minnesota's season's done the second they found out they had to go to the Ralph.

got a lot of uneasy feelings from the guys around me in the stands tonight about having to play mankato. their goalie made some big saves the last 2 nights. i do like our chances with all the games at the NHC and Marvin and hopefully Raboin coming back next weekend. Mankato is capable of stealing a game, but Huskies in 3.

Be honest, Husky fans. You would have far rather had Anchorage. For whatever reason, the Mavs match up real well with you.

UAA winless at the NHC, of course we would rather see them. Watched the Mavs on tv last weekend against Denver and these 2 games, playing pretty well. Much better than the record suggests. Add good goaltending, I have a feeling this will go 3 games no matter who wins.
