Marshall and Eddy(?) get 5 min each for grabbing the facemask, Marshall with an additional 2 for the infraction previously mentioned.

The 2nd period continues to be generally bad for Minnesota. While MN did hit the post awhile ago, their level of play has definitely sagged in this middle portion of the game while Jan's has gone up.

Hopefully the coaching staff gets them motivated for the 3rd.

And Haula gets a quality short-handed chance in the waning moments followed by Jan with a chance the other way.

End of two periods of play, 2-0 MN.

Other than the opening 10 minutes of the game, I actually think Jan has played a bit better in this game than last night. The main difference is MN converted on a couple of its quality chances and got the lead, while the D hasn't gift-wrapped any gimme goals (yet).
