I accept your bet, I bet you Michigan Tech takes more points this weekend, it they split, i bet Michigan Tech scores more goals, if they tie on both accounts, I win the tiebreaker...an alcoholic beverage at the F5 is the wager.AHEM! I had to check what year it was that we won the DQ Cup because my memory is hazy. And I consider '06 to be the 05-06 season. So I didn't think you were lying, just wanted to get the year right. Technically it was '07.Obviously. You didn't have to check to know I was right.
I don't remember this series ever having much fire. Both fanbases have gotten along pretty well since I have been on this board. For what may be the last time SCSU plays in Houghton for the foreseeable future, there doesn't seem to be a lot of excitement generated by St. Cloud in relation to this series. SCSU's college radio station, KVSC, is not sending its announcers to cover the games this weekend. Mick Hatten, The St. Cloud Times writer, has few, if any, articles or blogs related directly to this series. And this thread is only on page 4.
We didn't even have the "fake" Huskies arguments this year. It feels as if hockey realignment took the fire out of this series.
prediction : faux Huskies pee down their leg. real Huskies win!
Hits from the Bong: SCSU wins tomorrow and fulfills the 5 of 6 prophecy I laid forth.
Personally this ticks me off. As a fan, if my university chose to disrespect me in such a way as to prevent me from listening to my team on the radio because it was too inconvenient to do so, I'd never give them another dime. For what may be the last time SCSU plays in Houghton for the foreseeable future, there doesn't seem to be a lot of excitement generated by St. Cloud in relation to this series. We all still heard it on the radio via KNSI. St. Cloud generally has both KNSI (professionals) and KVSC (campus radio station, student-run production) calling the games. Wasn't a major deal, I usually prefer the KNSI broadcast. The KVSC crew was covering the women's team at Minnesota.
