I'm sure it's been tough for ECAC fans for awhile. Two teams in the Frozen Four is a nice accomplishment. Congrats! If Yale, Q, or Union win the championship, I'd give them the tag of "best conference in college hockey" this year. Congrats on a fantastic tournament, so far. Probably very unlikely that this signals a seismic shift in the college hockey landscape, but with all of the changes happening next year who the heck knows how everything is going to shake out.

As a North Dakota fan, all I can say is that Yale was the best team in the region, and I'll be rooting for the Miami-St. Cloud State winner to win the championship.

We played UNH the first series of the year and RPI around Christmas. And you used the wrong form of "they're."

This has been a great weekend for our conference, but lest we get ahead of ourselves, we still have not even been in a final since 1991, let alone won one.

If our teams can win in Pittsburgh then we really do have a legitimate claim to being the best conference in college hockey this season. After 33 seasons of rooting for ECAC hockey that is astounding and wonderful.

Trolls gonna troll, on both sides, but I have never had as much enjoyment from a tournament my team wasn't in. Good luck to Quinnipiac, Union, and Yale. You have had outstanding seasons and you have made our conference very proud.

This thread proves why everyone should root against Yale always. They are the worst.

While the ECAC is having a great season and looks to be more competitive going forward, I think it's foolish to call out the HE and WCHA. They've been clearly superior conferences for years, and now we might be catching up. MIGHT be.

I have to admit that this may be the best thing to happen to USCHO. It was getting a little stale with the same posters posting year after year after year after year just because their teams dominated everyone else in the tournament year after year after year after year. Fresh blood was needed.

I seriously congratulate the teams still in it. You deserve it and I look forward to watching a new winner this year.

This was the most balanced field top to bottom I can remember. I am not surprised at all with the results (except for the St Cloud NCAA win).

The WCHA, Hockey East, and CCHA have won every Frozen Four and held the runner up spot since 1990, with the exception of Colgate as the 1990 runner up.
