Whenever I check the score on these two teams, it's always a tight game. If I could watch it, it might be one of the few women's games that would actually be entertaining.

First period certainly entertained. Doc (I think) said US had better chances - not sure I agree but thought it was pretty even.

This is some pretty solid hockey, and not just because it's women playing either. 2 very talented teams, ref is letting them mix it up a little and maybe get away with some more contact than usual.

If checking were part of the women's game, the US & Canada would be even more dominant than they already are.

It'd be a bloodbath when weaker teams were involved.


Not that it wouldn't be fun to watch.

Not sure where you are getting that wally. Used to be true, but not these two squads. Have you seen how they've played each other this year? USA is faster and more skilled.

Not sure who is calling the radio feed provided by Westwood One (simulcast on XM Radio) but they're lambasting the women's officiating. Missed calls, blown calls, phantom calls. They're being fair about it and calling it awful for every game played, not just the US/CAN games.

Geez -- why don't teams give up the puck on a delayed call during a PP?

We gave the US about 15-20 seconds right there. :mad:
