Someone asked Oshie about being dubbed an American hero (as his Wikipedia page did after the shootout) and he responded as a typical hockey player would:
"Heroes are the ones wearing camo. That's not me."

I am reminded of that picture that made the rounds last June of all the times Toews said "We" vs all the times LeBron said "I" after leading their teams to titles.

Really weird seeing x-country skiiers in short sleeves or -- the Americans -- sleeveless. Cross country skiing with temps in the 50s must be like running a marathon with temps in the 90s and high humidity.

Bleh. Cheating Koreans in short track. When they aren't cheating, they take out their competitors with their incompetence. I doubt the American would've medaled, but it would be nice if she wasn't just taken out by the constant moron Koreans.

At least after tonight, we know that the speed skating problem isn't the suits. They seem tired and slow at the end- almost as if the skate tuning is totally wrong for that slow surface.

Through some trickery I watched the CBC cast of the USA - Russia game and I remembered why Jim Hughson is terrible. He was so boring, I mean it sounded like he was calling a January Wednesday night OHL game and not USA - Russia at the Olympics. Just monotoned and zero excitement. At least Healy had some good analysis.
