I would also like to add my congrats to the entire team, coaches, AD, SID, and all associated with SNC hockey for a wonderful year and really a first class program that in addition to academic's, has secured SNC's position on the map for sports in general. This National Championship victory was just as thrilling as the first one and different as many more SNC faithful were able to witness it in person. Special congrat's to the Seniors who will now go on to bigger and better things in their individual life paths.

The "Celebrate With the Green Knights" event to honor St. Norbert College's national championship hockey team is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, March 31 at Schuldes Sports Center on the St. Norbert campus. All St. Norbert coaches, staff and players will be at the program, which is free and open to the public.

The Green Knights won the 2011 NCAA Division III ice hockey championship with a 4-3 win over Adrian College on Saturday in Minneapolis, Minn. St. Norbert finished its second national championship season at 25-4-1.

We were saddened you chose not to sit with us on Saturday evening in the suite. Why did you just leave after walking in?

Heard tonight that SNC All American Nick Tabisz has signed with South Carolina of the ECHL.

Two options:

* Switch sides so that the NCHA banners start above the home bench, continue past the away bench and then put the NCAA closer to the SOG scoreboard

* Instead of 2 separate sections, put the NCAA ones with that year's NCHA banners, and have one long string.

Such a good problem to have!

You could do like Plattsburghs done with their 20 SUNYAC Championships and put them on little 6x12 fabric on one banner :)

I'm on vacation this week but I came up with this list. Let me know if I'm missing anyone.

NCAA Division III Championship Game Appearances, Head Coach:
9 - Bill Beaney, Middlebury
5 - Tim Coghlin, St. Norbert
4 - Mike McShane, Norwich
3 - Mark Mazzoleni, UW-Stevens Point; Joe Baldarotta, UW-Stevens Point; Bob Emery, Plattsburgh State; Steve Nelson, UW-Superior

I don't THINK I missed anyone else.
