No question there was interference. The point is that it must be called on the ice, and the only way you can call back the goal is if said crease activity resulted in the goaltender not being able to get into position. Goaltender was able to get into position, so the goal stands. If they want penalties to be callable on a replay, next rule change period is not this offseason, but the next one.

Never underestimate ECAC refs and their inability to understand the rules of the game. Union had a goal called back against Harvard a few years ago on video review for goaltender interference that ended up resulting in a Union penalty after the review.

Should have protested it. Refs are required to have a copy of the rule book in the penalty bench to cite if necessary.
