SLU @ RPI February 28,2015

Re: SLU @ RPI February 28,2015

Although Carusone is gaining rapidly on McDonald as perhaps the worst zebra in the ECAC, IMO.

In the old days it was pretty clear which were the troublesome officials. There were a fair number but they stood out almost every game. From what i have seen over the past few years, both on RPI TV and in person, I am not sure we have any that are fair and consistent. I am just as sure, that the linesmen need to learn how to simply drop a puck for a face off properly. Last night we had more centers tossed (and to be fair, CCT had almost as many) by linesmen who looked like they were even more tentative than the way we played.

Babo is a special person and will be missed as Luke makes his way in the world.
Give her my best as well.

Great to see Diebold in the nets tonight.

lets go red!!!!!!!!!!

The right choice by our coach. Scotty deserves this final game and hope he pitches a great one. As far as Luke, this big boy will be a success in life regardless of the path he takes. I have this overwhelming feeling we will see him at the highest level of hockey and he will perform superbly. But even if that does not happen, he is a class act raised by two great parents(and a pleasure to meet them both) who have instilled the desire that he be willing to do what is necessary. Whatever is necessary! I am sure the great loss he suffered this past year made it difficult for him to perform at his best. But my first pick to start on a team with and build a team around would still be him. For tonight simply LGR. But let's extend this season one game at a time after this.

Baker is surprisingly consistent; he calls everything. Of course, FlagDUDETTE noticed him huffing and puffing during the Cornell/Colgate weekend (where not too much was called), so perhaps there's a reason. ;)

Colgate gets the bye. Possible 7 seeds are Harvard and Cornell.

Sounds like 7 slots are now frozen and that 5 are still variable but only by a position or two. This is a very atypical ECAC finish in that normally we do not know much of anything until 10PM on the last night of the season. I recall many times back in the 80's and 90's when we had to wait to call for reservations in hotels just before midnight on that last Saturday night.
