Ahh Gopher Sioux week, let the fun begin.

Should be a good series, when was the last time the Sioux were at Mariucci... 2009?

It's good to see UMinn back with mens' hockey after fielding two women's teams the last 3 or 4 years. There may even be a fan's guide to the NCAA tourney out there somewhere for the large number of gopher fans who never knew or have forgotten what it's like. Might wait for the midseason defections before you spend the money though.

I'm not so sure you're qualified to sling mud at any hockey fanbase, wether it be for knowledge of the game or otherwise.

I'm not sure I'm obsessed with it. I don't really care about Grimaldi at all. What I'm thrilled about is the Gophers finally have another freshman phenom. It's been a while.

Don't sweat it, I remember many a Sioux fan making the same comparison prior to any game results...

No kidding. All I heard from Sioux fans I know before the season began was how much better Grimaldi was going to be than Rau, and how stupid it was of the Gophers for bringing in a guy right from high school. And now that Rau is playing so well and Grimaldi has gotten off to a slow start, we're the ones "obsessed".

I didn't know who he was until the GPL thread and he certainly hasn't done anything for me to notice him. Hell, the only Rocco I knew about was the place chicks went to get their hair cut.
With MN's luck that will probably change this weekend. ;)

I'm glad the Gophs didn't get Grimaldi. I would be very conflicted trying to cheer for a guy who is trying to encourage co-eds to show less skin.

BTW, does BTN ever show games on the internet anymore for those of us who can't get it?

Don't get BTN, which is even worse than having to watch their coverage. That better change before 2013 season or I'll have to find a new provider.
