Re: Singles Part 14: Come Get Some!
I finally got to hang out with girl #1 this weekend, after about 4 weeks of talking and not finding a time that would work, due to work schedules and her being out of town for 2 weeks. After Friday night, I have to say, if I can pull this off there aren't words for how awesome it would be, and the incredible thing is, I think I'm actually well my way to doing just that.
Several other nights we have both been out drinking, and have tried to meet up just to hang out casually, it has never worked out for one reason or another. Going into last Friday we were going to try to head to the same bar, she texts me at about 11:00, she is at some crappy place downtown and isn't having much fun, I am at Toby Keith's with MNS and JF_Gophers, because people apparently don't understand that parking lots are important in Uptown. (after driving around for 30 minutes not finding a place to park we said eff it and went to Toby's) She ends up getting a cab to Toby's, we ended up having a great time dancing and just hanging out. After a while she wants to go to St. Paul, because some friends were at Reid's, where she works, she wants to know if I want to come along. I was drunk, so of course I did. She hadn't drank very much and said she could drive, which I took her word for, she sure seemed fine to drive. So we go to my truck, because I said I'd let her drive it, she says she'll have no problem driving it. I have an '08 3/4 ton diesel, 6-speed manual truck, she is about a 5'4", 100lb hot blonde girl, and she was right, she had no problem with driving the truck. That was awesome. We got to St. Paul, drank a bunch more, until bar close, after bar close we went back to Reid's where she works, and they let her in, since she works there, but they wouldn't let me in, because it was after bar close. We ended up getting separated and going separate ways at that point, unfortunately. But it was a great night, I'm hoping we can do something again soon, but we'll see.
