how good are the goalies on the club team....ugh.......practice, games, off ice, there are always injuries, lets keep our fingers crossed.....

It's hard to judge good and bad things when you're playing a team that you completely outclass in every facet of the game. You can get away with things left and right that you normally wouldn't against averagen D-III competition, let alone a team like Elmira.

(That being said...I wasn't there!) :)

I'm sure coach has plans to bring in at least one or two goalies at the break depending on how things go here.

WTOP will have the game from the Campus Center Friday on the web - let's see if anyone at Time Warner Cable is awake and makes the feed available downstate on a digital channel.... And of course you can hear all Laker games home and away on WNYO online.....

The defense let a few sloppy pucks slip out of the zone - as aggressive as the Lakers could fly up into the zone against these 77's, if they don't dial the push back, I can see good clubs getting breaks towards Beckwith and the Lakers paying for it. This "all star" team made any strides back towards the Laker end, they would either just get one obvious shot off at Beckwith or be muscled off the puck, and leave the ice sucking wind while our guys move it back up for the next goal.

Speed - there was plenty of speed (and I don't mean drugs). Boots became a fan favorite before the end of the night with his puck movement. Bremner got a chance to face the goalie on a short breakaway, and he successfully roofed it. Titanic got plenty of passing recognition in the 3rd with the offensive madness.

All around, we may miss Musselwhite for the lone ranger speed he applied, but the recruits and the evolving returners are picking up the overall pace.

Someone who sees Elmira, please drop a lot of good bits about what happens - a death in the family has priority for this Ranger this weekend.

Thank you sir. If one or the other of us cannot make Fredonia for the Halloween madness, the Whiteout is for certain on this end at least.

2-0 over the venerable Eagles - Titanic with his first goal, plus Bremner and Boots look to be great fits in a 4-2 victory in Elmira.

Anyone got a fair vantage of how our guys did in person, Friday or Saturday?

Very good weekend for the Lake Show. I'll take 2 wins over EC any day of the week. Let's hope we don't look past Buff State and Freddy. We somehow get sucked into Fredonia's game which is a tribute to the old New Jersey Devils.
