Selection Show

Re: Selection Show

Take the T and save money!

4.8 miles campus to campus according to Google Maps.

Saturday afternoon?

You forgot the "cab ride is preferable to bus ride" criterion.
Probably not a cab; they won't spring for more than a half-price Uber.

IMO, this bracket ... I can't think of any word that will get by the censors.

Re: Selection Show

Do they intentionally (in the last few years) attempt to prevent the possibility of two WCHA teams playing against each other in the final game or is it strictly a money saving exercise with respect to reducing the number of flights?

Or is the latter just cover for the former?

OMG...Northeastern gets hosed. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. 2 flights now vs. 3 flights if they sent NE out to Minn. I guess the one benefit of the WCHA only getting two teams into the tournament is that there will be no intra-WCHA quarterfinals like in the past. This year, it is HE's turn (and ECAC for that matter) to take a bite of the ever-so-tasty NCAA rump-roast sandwich.
Best of luck to all the teams! Looking forward to it.

Having them play in the semis you have to fly them both out to the site anyways so that doesn't help any. And they are the clear 2/3 seeded teams this year.

Sticking close to bracket integrity you bus Princeton to Newton and fly us to Minneapolis no extra flights.

This...It's been this way for awhile. Feel a bit bad for NU but the alternative would have been Minnesota so maybe not much better.
