Season 95, Vol 2: Michigan Tech '15-'16

Re: Season 95, Vol 2: Michigan Tech '15-'16

What can you tell us about our new recruit?
leading scorer in tier 1 elite league, Mel probably saw him in blaine on MTU's last weekend off shortly after I reported seeing Cates. Parrottino played in the same tournament as Colin Swoyer. I don't know much about him otherwise.

If anyone is looking for some pro jerseys NOT worn by Tech alumni (all game issued only), here are a few listings. Got to love crazy minor league fans. Josh Robinson almost as popular as John Scott - just shy of $2,000 for a jersey HE NEVER EVEN WORE with more than a day to go.

Having had time to reflect, I really like the new dog. It's ten times the Husky that Piano Dog was. Clean and simple, recognizable at any size or distance, solid and bold color blocks (no fine lines to screw up resolutions), and that clenched jaw shows just the right mix of aggression, fortitude, and dignity in his character. Well done, marketing people.

Your link...you do realize that Pearson's nomination was known for a long time? Any coach that wins coach of the year in their given conference and the 4 coaches that make the frozen four all get nominations?

Re: Season 95, Vol 2: Michigan Tech '15-'16

sorry about that, I'll use something more to the point.

Re: Season 95, Vol 2: Michigan Tech '15-'16

it's fine, you obviously didn't even mention the contents of the article...was just commenting on it...

this link shows the logo better, it was very harshly received (especially on FB) but I wonder if it will grow on people. I like it more than I did at first.

Re: Season 95, Vol 2: Michigan Tech '15-'16

I do too, and I understand that overall the reception has been very positive. Also,... can we assume that the new logo will be part of revamped jersey's or no?

Re: Season 95, Vol 2: Michigan Tech '15-'16

Of the new logos they revealed I still say #3 on this pyramid is my favorite. http://michigantechhuskies.com/gene...tityPyramid.jpg?max_height=701&max_width=1000
#3 is good but I wish they could show the whole UP some how. And yes there's another logo to do that but still.

It's growing on me for sure. Looking forward to seeing some hats with the new logo :)

So that's how they do it...I honestly had no clue.

I asked the day the new logos game out and was told the team will stick with the four existing jersey sets for another year, however the conversation ended with "But the coaches will have the final say..."
So in summary... No, but maybe yes.

Personally I would love to see the #10 "dog only" on the front of at least one jersey and #3 on another to replace our two current "round crest" jerseys. But according to the "rules" of the great pyramid, #10 can't be used alone and I'm really not fond of #1 or #2 on the front of the jerseys. I guess I could live with #1 if we really had to have words on the jerseys. If you need the word "Huskies" under the logo to figure out what it is, then we need a better logo or a smarter fan base. I don't really like the wording because the new font makes me see a mixed case "mICHIGAn". My engineering mind says use all upper case or all lower case. Don't mix it up to be cute and original.

Of course if we are following the "rules" #9 "Huskies" can't be used on its own either. And I'm pretty certain that if we don't have at least one set of jerseys with "Huskies" on the front, one half of the rink will set fire to their seats followed by looting of University Images and rioting in the parking lot of the SDC complex... tap, tap, tap.

I've now heard from 2 additional sources that the answer is no for 2016-17.

all the rules mean is that you put #5, 6, 7, or 8 on the collar above the name plate and you're good...
