I told my wife leaving the game on Saturday night that SCSU had to be extremely frustrated by the outcome of that game, where they largely outskated UNO and had some horrendous shooting luck. Fortunately, UNO has two players that are probably better than anybody SCSU has on the ice (Broadhurst & Hudson), and those guys were the difference. Broadhurst is unconscious right now. He's been so good I wonder if anybody really realizes how good Matt White has been as well.

I agree. Hanowski's Giant Slalom Goal (tm) on Saturday was one of the finest displays I've ever seen. Guy's remarkable. Hudson's year isn't quite on track yet, though he's doing well.

UNO has had very good luck against SCSU last season and this - any of the games could have gone the other way. The Huskies, I thought, played a clean, smart, hard series and I can understand why they might feel they deserved more than they got.

UNO has had very good luck against SCSU last season and this - any of the games could have gone the other way. The Huskies, I thought, played a clean, smart, hard series and I can understand why they might feel they deserved more than they got.

Meh, that'll happen. It was a series where you felt like both teams played well enough where they "deserved" to win, but in the end an extra bounce or two went UNO's way and it was the difference. Personally with our recent luck against them, glad to be done with both the Mavericks for the regular season, and a matchup between UNO and SCSU at the X would I think be a great game and also a chance for SCSU to exact some revenge.
