ESPN would never let a college hockey player win that award. It wouldn't promote their programming and let's face it that is all they care about. Does he at least get to go to the event? A free trip would be cool no matter if you have a chance or not.

Judd Peterson announced on twitter today that he is going to play another year in the USHL before heading to St Cloud.

Not a big surprise.
We only lose 2 forwards and are bringing in Papa, Tedesco and Hendrickson.
There is no room for him this season.

Gonna be in Cloud this weekend and thinking about stopping by the NHC just to check it out.

Not going to be able to see much inside, the entrance is about it.
There will be a grand opening celebration on Sept. 28th.

I was down that way this weekend, construction fence is still up around the south side.

Depending on when you get there you might be able to get into the lobby and look around there.
The ticket office is open down there now, but the rest of the building is basically off-limits until the grand opening,

Any idea if/when they'll do phase 2? That's the part I'm really excited about, but it seems somewhat up in the air.

Friday you should be fine, I don't know if it's open weekends right now, but I don't think it is.

I'm pretty sure the door on the north side alley just south of the Halenbeck workout entrance (Northeast comes in the practice rink, stairs come down between the rinks and has the area to pay and rent skates) is open all the time. At least it is for open hockey all summer.
