* Motzko said it's a good possibility Lee will start Saturday. Lee, who helped Team USA win gold at the World Junior Championship on Tuesday, returned with his teammates to Denver but missed a connecting flight to Minnesota -- forcing him to spend Wednesday night in Colorado. He was in transit on Thursday and did not practice with the team.
* Sam Zabkowicz returned from a lower body injury and practiced at full contact Wednesday and Thursday. He is available and could play Saturday.
* Mosey ranks eighth nationally with 11 power-play points.
* Raboin, who finally scored his first goal of the season last Sunday -- after racking up 10 last season, tied Derek Eastman (68 points) for fifth among defensemen on SCSU's all-time scoring list.
* SCSU is 10-0-1 when leading after two periods and 9-1-3 when scoring on the power play. Sunday's 5-3 victory over Brown was St. Cloud State's first win of the season when allowing an opponent to score at least three goals.
* Festler leads SCSU in plus-minus (plus-4). Raboin is at the bottom of the list (minus-13).
* Lasch has a team-best seven goals against MTU. Roe leads in assists (8) and points (11). The current SCSU seniors are 9-1-0 against Michigan Tech -- the only loss coming Oct. 30 in Houghton.
Michigan Tech ranks last nationally in scoring defense (4.47 goals per game) and penalty kill (62.7 percent). Those PK numbers are so bad I can't find anything worse among all the statistics verifiable on the Internet. Granted, MTU has the second half to improve, but the worst penalty-killing team in the last decade was American International which killed 70.2 percent of its penalties in 2001-02.
Michigan Tech also doesn't have a goalie in the top 60 nationally in goals-against average or save percentage.
