If they didn't tell them to sit back then it was even worse coaching because you need to put guys out there that will be agressive when you want them to be. sometimes confidence has to do with good coaching and putting players in certain situations to succeed. Good penalty killing is all about playing smart and hustling. Last year they did neither. I like the approach they are taking this year and it continues.

Yes they have played their whole lives, but they haven't played college their whole lives, each step up is a new challenge.
All I'm saying is the only real change is the experience so it would not surprise me that they went with a passive PK last year and put in a more aggressive one this year because of increased experience.

you missed the point. Passive is always bad on the PK.

Still doesn't mean the coaching staff didn't go with it because of a lack of experience.
Either way it's better this year and I hope it continues.

Coach just said Barta is a smart player and you need to watch the tape to see it.:rolleyes: I guess we know who is going to keep playing.

The instant he said it, I knew you'd be ****ed.
Personally, he's probably right, you may not notice the good things he does and when he makes mistakes, they are (or at least have been) big ones.
But sorry, I'll take a coaches opinion over a fans any day.

That's fine, but he is wrong. :D The guy cost them big friday night and the two games before that. I am glad he only talks about the average game he played on saturday.:D

More notes from the Motzko show: I had jalapeno smokin wings, Ken had bacon cheeseburger and fries, Boomer, I think, had either a rueben and fries or some kind of corned beef. Lady Husky had some kind of thing with fries. We had a waiter, and he didn't want to mount me. Ken, however, he was looking at in a hungry kind of way. Ken has a boner for some drunk babe that sat by him a few times on the weekend. He thinks he's gonna get fellated soon. Other than that, things look good. Life is good. We gave Lady Husky a ride home, but she didn't want to do me and Boomer.

Gaudet did a great job as guest.

Everybody makes mistakes, it's how they adjust to it. He gave me an earful after at least one of Barta's plays. I think Kevin A has a man-crush on Barta, he became very defensive when I asked him why Barta was playing. He then proceeded to draw out how Barta was responsible for LeBlanc's breakaway short handed goal. Apparently, his attempted clearing attempt was just soft enough so the UMD guy pinched in a little, allowing Christian to grab the puck and pass it to LeBlanc. My response was "so he got lucky one time". Maybe Rioux will take his place. Apparently he's not in the doghouse, but they obviously don't have much faith in his abilities.

Do both teams do it Husky style this weekend? Who's pitching, and who's catching?

I listened to the coaches show and laughed when he said that. The guy can't even skate backwards, but we are suppose to believe he made some soft pass just the right way on purpose?:rolleyes: My question to the coach is what part of Barta's game is good? Let me guess if I watch the film I will see it, but you can't notice it live.:rolleyes: Honestly if Motzko was smart he wouldn't comment at all.

I am sorry but the guy doesn't belong on the ice. Playing Barta is as stupid a move as not playing Gaudet last year when he showed in his limited games that was was better than a couple guys who were playing every game. I like Motzko, but christ just handing people ice time has to stop when they show they can't handle it.

I've heard of mancrushes but you seem to have a hatred of Barta (and Mosey) that's unnatural.
