If they go through with it then next time we win we increase the size of the Court and pack it. Simple as that.

I don't think the GOP is going to go along with a lame duck historically repudiated old man who will say things every day that are increasingly deranged and offensive to 67% of voters everywhere in the country.

You don't think the GOP is going to continue to attach their future to their god? We're only 2 years removed from this historically repudiated old man winning the presidency with more votes than the scary black woman. And what push back have you seen to even think a significant number of the GOP will stop pandering to the dumbest and meanest part of their base?
 
Nobody knows yet. The GOP needs somebody to blame for 2026. The rule since 6000 BC is you blame your predecessor.

I assume we are going to see a mass attempt to run back to the "fiscal conservative" scam. Non-stop blatting about deficits and inefficiency and the magical power of markets and lowering taxes and unleashing our entrepreneurs and all that hogwash. They don't have to full on attack Dump, they can just sidestep him and pretend he never happened.

The Reagan Con is such an attractive lullaby for these dopes they will try to make it work again. What else do they have? They can link some of the Classic Hits of racism and sexism to it to grab the balls of the MAGAts: they can say immigrants took er jerbs, our medical care is expensive because of abortions and sex reassignment surgeries, and our schools don't produce competitive STEMMies because of the litter boxes in the non-binary bathrooms. They can wink at the racists like they always have.

I don't think they will burn Dump in effigy. I think they will shift in their seats embarrassedly as the old senile uncle farts and shits himself at Thanksgiving dinner.
