SCOTUS 13: Confirmation consternation contemplation

Re: SCOTUS 13: Confirmation consternation contemplation

The Democrats got played and they fell for it. Coons should never have entertained Flake's offer. He should have told him if you want to go for it you're on your own. Instead the Democrats overplayed their hand and the Republicans pulled off a sham investigation and got every female conservative amped up.

This..makes..no...sense. Flake offered to delay the confirmation for a week to force the GOP to let the FBI investigate, something they adamantly refused to do, but Coons should have just rejected the offer? Scoobs, how quickly do you think that would have been leaked to the press by the GOP (that Dems turned down an FBI investigation)? Maybe a nanosecond?

I didn't say to turn it down. I said to avoid him. Let him stew on his own. Coons could have disappeared after the hearing, he didn't. All reports are the Dems worked Flake hard.

No one ever reads what I type. I said it very carefully.

But if he didn't know what Flake was offering before he met up with him, how would he know to avoid him? Telepathy? Time travel?

I might have to just walk away from this stuff til they vote. I am legit getting angry...

I gotta say though things are great for me! Finally us White Males get some power back!

Re: SCOTUS 13: Confirmation consternation contemplation

Anyone find it interesting that the volume of allegations is working in Kavanaugh's favor and that's what destroyed the Senate career of Al Franken?

Things do not work the same both ways. Some day the Dems will figure that out.

Wasn’t there pretty overwhelming proof in the Franken case?

Re: SCOTUS 13: Confirmation consternation contemplation

You're right. The one picture shows him not groping someone through body armor.
Not to even get into their history prior to the allegations (they were friends who joked around a lot hence the pic).

Re: SCOTUS 13: Confirmation consternation contemplation

As for Avenatti, he needs to get his witnesses to go public and now. Him just bloviating isnt enough. They need to be heard by the people.

NBC News pretty much took that set of allegations apart earlier this week, especially when they tried to and could not find someone to corroborate them (including the four people Swetnick said could).
