That would have meant violating Ford's desire for privacy. A big, BIG no-no for a victim of sexual assault.
What the Dems have done, to their credit for once, is been on the right side of an issue. They've stuck up for the victims of sexual assault and gave Dr. Ford a platform to come forward with her story. Unlike the Anita Hill hearings they've pretty much done all they could do. Whether voters reward them for that or punish them or sit around with their thumbs up their a sses is up to the voters, not the Democrats on the Judiciary Committee. You can either sit out elections and let a Trumpian view on sexual assault go unchallenged, or you can punish him and his elected enablers at the ballot box. At some point voters need to be responsible for who they choose to lead them. November 6th seems like a good time to start.
